Downloading Work Orders

inSITE Mobile FM users can download facilities maps for offline use in areas with no internet service. inSITE Mobile syncs with inSITE when a mobile user returns to an area with internet service to download a new assignment.

 

Reviewing Available Work Orders

  • Connect your mobile device to wi-fi or a mobile data network.
  • Log into inSITE Mobile FM, and the app will automatically download the work orders assigned to you by your organization’s inSITE Facilities users. For more information on assigning work orders, see Creating and Tracking Work Orders.

  • Tap any assignment in the work order list to select it and see a summary of the assignment, including the name, due date, and inspection type and a chart summarizing the current assignment progress by structure inspection status.

 

  • Tap the refresh button at any time to check for new assignments 
  • Tap a work order to select it
  • Tap the download button to save the the work order’s data for offline use. 
  • After you tap download, the app will open a map of the selected work order and the download widget.
  • In the download widget, use the + and - buttons to add or subtract scale levels from your map data download.
    • Downloading more scale levels allows you to zoom in further on your basemap in offline mode but fills more storage space on your mobile device.
    • Downloading fewer scale levels limits your zoom range but fills less space on your mobile device.

  • Tap the Download button to download offline data for your work order.
    • Downloading a work order may take several minutes depending on the size of the assignment and your internet connection.
    • Your mobile device must remain powered on and connected to a wi-fi or mobile data network during the work order download. You may work in other apps or allow your screen to lock while the download continues.

  

 

  • Downloaded work orders display a greyed-out signal icon with a slash in the work order list.
    • Work orders that have not been downloaded and require a data connection for use display with a blue signal icon in the work order list.
