inSITE Mobile VM allows mobile users to download work orders and carry out GPS-guided vegetation inspection or maintenance in the field. inSITE Mobile VM users can download transmission or distribution facilities maps and vegetation analytics for offline use in areas with no internet service. inSITE Mobile syncs with inSITE when a mobile user returns to an area with internet service to download a new assignment.
Reviewing Available Work Orders
Connect your mobile device to wi-fi or a mobile data network. Log into inSITE Mobile, and the app will automatically download the work orders assigned to you by your organization’s inSITE VM users. For more information on assigning work orders, see Creating and Tracking Work Orders.
Tap any line in the work order list to select it see a summary of the assignment, including the name and due date. If you do not see the work order list, tap the list button or swipe in from the left side of the screen to reveal it.
Tap a work order to select it then tap the download button to save the the work order’s data for offline use. Downloading a work order may take several minutes depending on the size of the assignment and your internet connection. Your mobile device must remain powered on and connected to a wi-fi or mobile data network during the work order download. You may work in other apps or allow your screen to lock while the download continues.
Tap a downloaded work order to select it then tap the edit button to open the work order and review your downloaded data. inSITE Mobile displays an aerial imagery basemap, facilities data like spans and structures, and vegetation analytics within the boundaries of the assigned work order.
Tap the Back button to return to the work order list and review additional assignments.
