In addition to geospatial data tiles, QC calls, and image seamlines, VOICE can display data layers for any geospatial reference that assists with quality control processes. Your instance of inSITE will include permanent reference layers configured by your organization’s inSITE administrator. To add new permanent reference layers to your instance of inSITE, please contact your organization’s inSITE administrator.
You may also add reference layers that are publicly available as ESRI-compatible web services to your instance of inSITE using the User Layers feature. For more information on User Layers, see Adding Data to inSITE.
Displaying Image Seamlines
VOICE can display orthophoto seamlines, which indicate where your imagery vendor joined individual orthophoto frames into a mosaic. Orthophoto quality control issues commonly arise at or near seamlines.
Click the Seamlines button in the upper right corner of the map window. Check or uncheck the boxes in the Seamlines panel to show or hide seamlines for individual projects or study areas.
Standard VOICE Data Layers
Your instance of inSITE VOICE for orthophto quality control will include the following data layers:
- Tiles: The tiles layer displays boundaries for the data tiles delivered by your geospatial data vendor and the color-coded status of each reviewed tile.
- Calls: The calls layer displays boundaries for QC calls created by your quality control team. QC calls are color-coded by issue type.
- Seamlines: For imagery quality control projects, the seamlines layer displays seamlines in the imagery mosaic delivered by your imagery vendor.
Reference Layers
Your instance of inSITE VOICE may include additional reference layers configured by your organization’s inSITE administrator. Reference data layers are available under the Vector Data layer group in the Layers panel. Common reference layers include:
- Bridge Locations
- Dam Locations
- Railroads
- Road Construction Areas
- County and Municipal Boundaries
- Military Facilities
- Transportation Networks
