inSITE Facilities Workflow Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Create or Select Ambit

• Log into inSITE Facilities and open the Facility Inspection widget.

Click the From Library button to select an existing ambit  Click the Create Ambit from Circuit button to select a circuit and set a custom buffer around it Create Ambit from Inspection Rotation button to select a circuit from your inspection rotation cycle

Step 2: Select Structure Parameters

• Select a set of parameters from the Structure Parameters dropdown menu.
• For a typical inspection assignment, use the All Structures-(Default) parameters - this will include All structures
• For a typical maintenance assignment, select the Maintenance parameters - this will include only structures with an inspection status other than good (e.g., needs repair or critical)

Step 3: Calculate and Review Structures

• Click Calculate Ambit to run structure analytics  
• Review your results in the table.
• Click the count for any detection category to review individual structures.
• Click the Go back button to return to your overall results  

Step 4: Create and Assign Work Order

• Click Create Work order 
• Fill out the required information
• Choose a Crew, and click Assign to send the work order to the crew’s mobile device

 

Step 5: Download Work Order

• Log into inSITE Mobile Facilities to receive the assignment on a mobile device 
• Tap a work order in the work order list to select it
• Click Download to save the work order data for offline use

Step 6: Perform Field Inspection or Maintenance

• Navigating in the map and tap on structures to open their record
• Or browse structures in the interactive list  
• Verify structure attributes, enter inspection and maintenance data
• Sync the results with the inSITE database  

Step 7: Review Inspection and Export for Database

• Log into inSITE Facilities
• Open the Work Order using the Library tab in the Facility Inspection widget
• Follow steps in Step 3
• Review field inspection assignment status in the work order table.
• Open the Reports tab to generate configurable reports for a region, circuit, or custom ambit
