The Identify tools allow you to view names and other information for any data or analytics you can see in the map window.
Identify Tools
Click the Identify button to open the Identify panel.
Click Point then click in the map to identify all the features near a point. Any features that intersect with or surround the point will display in the Result tab.
Click Polyline then click in the map to start your line. Click again to add another segment to your line. Double click to complete your line. Any features that intersect with the line will display in the Result tab.
Click Rectangle then click-and-drag in the map to draw a rectangle. Any features that intersect with or fall inside the rectangle will display in the Result tab.
Click Polygon then click in the map to start drawing a polygon. Click again to another side to your polygon. Double click to complete your polygon. Any features that intersect with or fall inside the polygon will display in the Result tab.
Viewing Results
After you use one of the identify tools, the Result tab will open and display all available data for the first feature identified. The map window will zoom to and highlight the first identified feature. Click Next> to display attributes for additional identified features. Click Prev> to return to previously viewed features.
Clearing Results
Click Clear All in the Result tab to clear your list of identified features and deselect any highlighted features in the map window.
Using one of the identify tools will automatically clear any current results and replace them with results from the new identify operation.
