After you choose a vegetation inspection assignment, inSITE Mobile VM will display a map overview of your assignment area. The map displays electrical distribution or transmission centerlines and utility tower center points for each circuit in your assignment area. The map also displays vegetation outlines for trees identified as detections by LiDAR analytics.
Editing a Tree Record
Navigate to any vegetation outline and tap it to load basic tree health and detection status in a pop-up. Tap the edit button to enter or edit data attributes for the tree.
In edit mode, use the menus to enter inspection data for the tree. Tap Next or Previous at any time to scroll through the menus. Tap Update to save your edits. Tap Back at any time to return to the map
Tree Record Criteria
Mobile vegetation inspections provide menus for the following criteria:
- Health: Select a basic assessment of tree health - Alive or Dying or Dead.
- Tree Species: Select a species from the list, or select Other to enter rare species names in comments later.
- Quantity: Enter the number of trees or units being evaluated. If the tree record was generated by LiDAR analytics, the default value is 1.
- Trim Code: Select a trim code from the list.
- DBH: Enter a value in US feet for the tree's diameter at breast height.
- Clearance: Enter a value in US feet for the clearance distance between the tree and the closest wire.
- Priority: Select a tree work priority level from the list.
- Cycle: Select a maintenance cycle frequency from the list.
- Crew: Select a crew code from the list.
- Comment: Enter any inspection comments.
- Work Request Number: Enter the work request number for your inspection.
- Date Work Req: Use the menus to enter a date for a tree work request.
- Date Work Perf: Use the menus to enter the date tree work was performed.
- Quantity of Trees Worked: Enter the quantity of trees worked for this record.
- Notes: Enter any notes about the tree work request or performance.
- Worker Name: Enter the name of the worker who performed tree work.
- Clearance Achieved: Enter a value in US feet for the clearance distance between the tree and the closest wire after tree work was performed.
- Inspector: Enter the name of the inspector evaluating the tree work performance.
- Display: Select a value from the list to determine the health assessment that displays when you view basic tree health and detection pop-ups in the map.
- Overhang: Select a value from the list to indicate whether the tree has limbs that overhang a wire.
List menus are pre-populated by your utility's vegetation program managers - contact your program managers to add or remove options from a list.
