Click the Other Panels button then click Measurement to open the Measurement panel.
Click the Area button in the Measurement window to measure the area inside a shape. When the Area button is active, click in the map to start your shape. Click again to add additional segments. Double-click to complete the shape. Your measurement results will appear in the Measurement window.
Click the Distance button to measure along a line. When the Distance button is active, click in the map to start your line. Click again to add additional segments. Double click to set an end point. Your measurement results will appear in the Measurement window.
Click the Location button to calculate the latitude and longitude of a point in the map. When the Location button is active, click in the map to set a location marker. The coordinates of the marker will appear in the Measurement window.
Use the units dropdown menu to change the displayed units for any of the measurement tools.
